Using Addness with Your Current Tools

Keep your internal chat, email, and documents as they are. What goes in Addness, what the AI reads, and built-in integrations.

Last updated: 2026-10-15

You can use the tools you use now, such as internal chat, email, calendar, where you keep documents, and customer management, alongside Addness. When you connect a tool to your AI, the AI reads what's in the tool directly. Google Calendar, Google Meet, Zoom, Slack, and LINE can also be connected directly to Addness (→ Integrations built into Addness).

The AI reads your current tools

In setup's "2. Connect your work tools," you connect tools such as email, calendar, chat, and documents to your AI (Claude Code, Codex). The AI reads connected tools directly.

When you hand over a goal with "Ask AI," the AI reads the goal's ideal and current state, reads the connected tools as needed, and moves the work forward. The tools you can connect are the ones your AI app supports.

→ Install an AI app and connect it to Addness

Check whether the tools you use can connect

  1. In the AI app you use, search for the tool's name on the connectors screen (Claude: "Customize" → "Connectors"; ChatGPT and Codex: "Plugins"). If it shows up, you can connect that tool. When you connect it, sign in to the tool and grant permission, and the AI can read what you allowed
  2. Even if a tool doesn't show up, you can connect it if the tool's company offers an official MCP server (the connection point that links an AI and a tool). In setup's "2. Connect your work tools," the AI looks for the official connection point and connects it
  3. Tools you use with a company account may need an admin's permission to connect. If you see "Admin approval required," talk to the person who manages that tool

If you just ask the AI "Can you connect to ◯◯?", it may give an answer that isn't true. Checking on the connectors screen is the reliable way.

Integrations built into Addness

Some integrations connect to Addness directly, without going through the AI.

IntegrationWhat it does
Google CalendarShows today's events as ToDos on the goal page. You can also have the meeting notes bot record meetings based on your events
Google Meet, ZoomThe meeting notes bot joins the meeting and saves the minutes to a goal or to Drive
SlackReceive Addness notifications in Slack
LINE, MessengerIntegrations that let you talk with the AI on a LINE Official Account, and let an AI connected via MCP read and send messages in your personal LINE and Messenger chats

Only the items in this table connect directly to Addness. Addness notifications are delivered by email, Slack, and the browser; they can't be delivered to Chatwork, Discord, Google Chat, LINE WORKS, and similar tools. Connect these tools to your AI app, and the AI goes to read what's in them (→ Check whether the tools you use can connect).
