Addness Network

Public profiles, people and organizations, posts, and jobs

Last updated: 2026-10-15

What you can do with Network

  • Public profile — Show introductions of people and organizations, figures such as completed-goal counts, and active days, streaks, and the activity grass.
  • Search and follow people and organizations — Find people and organizations, follow them, and see their posts and activity. People with a lock icon next to their name are locked: send them a "Request to follow," and once they approve, you can see their activity and more.
  • Posts and replies — From the box at the top of Home, post a short note and images (up to 4, up to 10 MB each). You can reply to posts. To post, you need to have chosen "Public" or "Locked" in your visibility settings.
  • Claps — Send a clap with "Clap" to other people's activity that flows through the timeline (completed to-dos, posts, published goals and templates, job openings). Press the number of claps to open the list of people who clapped.
  • Rankings — Review the activity of people and organizations by metric and by period. People with the lock icon appear in the rankings with only their name and rank. Only they can see their own numbers.
  • Job openings — Browse organizations' job openings and get in touch via "Learn more." Organization admins can post job openings for their own organization.
  • Conversations, groups, and notifications — Open cross-organization conversations from "Message" in Network, and check follows, conversations, and other alerts under "Notifications." You can also talk with people on Network in groups. While your profile is locked, answer follow requests in your notifications with "Approve" or "Decline."

Opening Network

On desktop, press "More" in the sidebar to open "Other features," then press "Network" in "Add-ons." On mobile, open the menu (≡) at the top left and choose "Network" under "More." Either way, Network opens in a new browser tab. On desktop, if you pin it in "Other features," you can open it from the sidebar. See Getting around the sidebar and screens for details.

If Network is listed under "Opens when you finish a challenge" in "Other features," pressing it opens the challenge guide. You can use it once you finish the challenge or press "Skip and use it (no points)."

Inside Network, move around with "Home," "Find people and organizations," "Jobs," "Message," "Notifications," and "Rankings." Pressing "Message" opens the "Network" tab of the chat page.

"Home" has "Recommended" and "Following" tabs.

  • Recommended — Public posts and activity from across Network (excluding daily records of completed to-dos). Alongside them, "Pulse" shows a stream of events that don't show names, such as "Someone completed a to-do," and today's count of completed to-dos across all of Addness
  • Following — Posts and activity from the people and organizations you follow (including daily records of completed to-dos)

On Addness's notifications page, a single row "◯ Network notifications" appears only when you have unread Network notifications. Press it to open the Network notifications in a new tab.

Network groups

You can also talk with people outside your organization in Network groups.

  1. On the chat page, press "New chat" and choose "Create a Network group" (when on the "All" tab). On the "Network" tab, it's "New chat" → "Create a group"
  2. Decide the group name and the icon color
  3. Choose who to invite. People you mutually follow join right away; others receive an invitation

A group holds up to 100 people. Participants can create an invite link with "Create link" from "Invite by link" in the group's "…" or below the member list. The link can be given to anyone on Network, and anyone who knows it can join until you press "Deactivate link." To join, a person needs to choose "Public" or "Locked" in Network visibility. People who join can also read the earlier messages.

Posting job openings (organization admins)

Organization admins can post their own organization's job openings on Addness Network.

  • Open "Jobs" in Network and the card "You can post jobs for your organization on Addness Network." appears. Create one yourself from "Post a job," or with "Ask AI," have an AI connected via MCP interview you and draft it. Job openings the AI creates are saved as drafts, and you publish them yourself
  • You can also open the job management screen from "Manage jobs" under "Jobs" in Organization settings › Network

On the job management screen, enter the job title, job description, recruiter, and so on, set "Status" to "Open," and press "Publish and save" to publish it.

Visibility settings

  • My Settings › Visibility — In your visibility settings, configure your public profile fields, main affiliation, and affiliation visibility. Under “Main affiliation”, choose one organization for your displayed affiliation, activity grid, and streak. You can also choose your own workspace (a one-person organization). If selected, no organization appears next to your name in Network. Personal spaces for Chat cannot be selected. In “Choose automatically (now: ◯◯)”, ◯◯ shows the name of the organization that will be used for automatic selection. Days from multiple organizations are not added together.
  • Organization settings › Network — Admins can change the organization's visibility in the organization's visibility settings. See Network in Organization settings for details.

Notes on visibility

Profiles are public by default, and public profiles and public job openings can be viewed even by people who aren't signed in. If you choose "Locked" under "Profile visibility" in your visibility settings, everything other than your name, image, introduction, and Following and Followers counts is visible only to followers you approve. Answer pending follow requests from your notifications or from "Follow requests" in your visibility settings. If you choose "Hidden," your profile doesn't appear on Network, and you no longer appear in search, rankings, or feeds. You also can't start new conversations, create groups, or join groups from invite links on Network (existing conversations and groups you've already joined continue).
Images, introduction text, What I'm looking for list, plan, completed-goal count, active days / streak / grass, proficiency level and achievements, diagnosis results, and affiliations / members can each be hidden individually in the visibility settings. The visibility of your personal affiliations can also be set per affiliation.
The contents of goals and to-dos inside your organization are never made public. The completed-goal count is the number of completed goals you are currently assigned to.
